Peter Whyte was found guilty of Second Degree Intentional Homicide in the murder of Sue Weiland. On November 12, 2007, Judge Eric Lundell ignored Whyte's pleas for leniency and sentenced Whyte to the maximum penalty of 60 years. Whyte will serve 40 years in prison, followed by 20 years of probation. He will be 89 years old at the time of his release from prison.
